Elisha & Jacob Henson ~ April 28, 2012

Elisha Maldonado and Jacob Henson were marries Saturday, April 28th at the Catholic Church in Kerman, CA.  It was a lovely ceremony and we had a really great time doing some much needed portraits at the Kearney Mansion on our way to the reception in Fresno....it was quite a beautiful day!

The colors of the wedding were pretty much all white, with a nice navy blue......however, that didn't hold Elisha back from going totally pink with the shoes!

Because of a last minute change in schedules from teh church...our usual orgabization of the day got swapped around a bit.....but that's why people hire the professionals!!! To ake sure things go smoothly regardless of what gets thrown your way!!

Even though the church was pretty stark....it allowed for some great architectural pics!!!

We were able to have some fun with the guys just before the ceremony began....I think they were able to "loosen" up a little!

Yay!! they did it!!

Off to Kearney Park....and the Mansion!

The shoes were a nice touch!

When finally made it to the Hotel for the reception and then snuck outside for a glimpse of the sun before it set!

Then the dancing began......awwwww

My second shooter, Andrew, and I shot just about everywhere with this wedding throughout the day...and we had a great time with Elisha, Jacob and the rest of their bridal party and family.  It was a very special day for them and I am so honored to have been a part of it!

Macae & Scott Carter ~ April 20, 2012

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Carter!

We had such a great time with pictures throughout the entire day - from early pictures with the bride and all of the ladies,

all the way through the end of the night pics by the fountain.....too much fun!

Macae was such a character, we had many laughs & smiles!

I love shooting at Wolf Lakes Park...and luckily Macae and Scott were the only bride and groom that day

so we were able to use the entire grounds for portraits...it lends to so many great spots and fantastic lighting!

The "LOVE" Picture  :)

I get a lot of rolled eyes when I ask bridal parties to "jump".....maybe it's for my own amusement....but I think they are too much fun to skip!

So the boys were ready to go when we got to them....and Scott, although a little anxious...great with all of the pics I insisted on!

The football was totally Scott's idea....he had mentioned ahead of time that he was bringing it, and we just kinda ran with it!

The weather, although a little muggy...was actually pretty perfect for the day.  And the ceremony was at Lakeside, so there was a great on-shore breeze as everyone found their places and the groomsmen boarded their pontoon boat for the arrival.

They had a "wine" theme going with the wedding, so the ceremonial "Wine Pour" was done in lue of a unity candle...cute touch, I thought!

As Husband & Wife!

SO then we got to have a little fun with the whole group......too much fun!

Then it was time for the Reception!!!

 Beautiful decor!

Immediatly after they were announced, we had to rush out to the dock before the sun went over the horizon...it was close!!!

The lighting was perfect for these :)  And of course...the bike!

I love all of the great and funny expressions on their faces throughout!

I LOVE THIS!!!

Once again, congrats to the newly weds.  I wish them only the best in their future! Thank you again for letting me be a part of your awesome day and making it one to remember!

A big "Great Job" goes out to all of those at Wolf Lakes Park, Haro Entertainment, Brown Bunny....and of course, Weddings by Cassandra for yet another beautiful wedding day come true!  And also to my new friend and second shooter, Joelle!

Sami & Mike Sweeney ~ January 21, 2012

It's not every day that us photogrpahers get to be a part of a wedding for a wonderful couple such as Sami & Mike.....they are practically family to my husband, son and I, and it was such an honor to be a part of their amazing day!  I will never forget it!

When I first showed up to The Clovis Cole where Sami was getting ready.....it was gail-force hurricane weather outside and I was beginning to get pretty worried about getting any pictures outside at all....luckily the moment she slipped into her whimsical wedding gown....the clouds parted and the sun began shining....THANK YOU!!

It's easy to tell just how much fun this whole group of people are - so free spiriited and fun-loving, I really enjoyed myself just capturing who they really are and I think that you can tell from the photos that they seemed to be having a great time whether or not the camera was pointed at them.......I love photographing people like this!

Sami is the apple of her parents eye......she is their little princess, and as you can see, the whole family was celebrating this beautiful and special day!

What a stunning bride!

I thought it fitting to tie in some "photo booth" type of candids of the bride with all of her ladies....first off there is a whole bunch of them, and second - they had a photo booth at the reception too...and this was a great way of bringing that all together.

Okay - new favorite spot in Old Town .......just LOVED shooting the girls against this wall!

And they were really enjoying their champagne!

I was laughing while editing these photos because I came to realize that I had captured just about every possible facial expression of Sami....from the beautiful to the quirky to the crazy and silly....she is such a character!  (And there are way more of these too :) )

As usual.....the groom and groomsmen are never as "raring" to go as the ladies - but thanks to some comic relief by the soon-to-be-brother-in-law Kenny, everyone started having a good time and Mike was able to loosen up a little before taking the biggest leep of faith in his life!

I had never met the Sweeney family before wedding day, and they were such a loving and wonderful family - Sami is a lucky girl to have such a great In-Law family!

(And Mike is just as lucky to have the Smiths too!)

Mike!  So SERIOS!!!!

The ceremony and reception were both held in the Clovis Veterans Hall.....and they did a beautiful job creating the perfect warm and loving atmosphere for such an intimate service!  Beautiful!

Sami & Mike were pretty excited once the paster said "you may kiss the bride"....and we all ran outside the front of the hall to capture an amazing last minute glimpse of the post-storm sunset!  Love it!

The old Clovis High building (now a law school) was a perfect back drop for some evening light-up shots.

All in all, the Smith and Sweeney wedding was a fantastic day for all involved and I really have some high hopes for both Sami and Mike and their amazing future that awaits them.

Thank you again for letting me be a part of your wedding day and helping you create some amazing lasting memories!

Coby & Scott Hawkins ~ September 10, 2011

What an amazing wedding!  Coby and Scott were a fantastic bride and groom, and despite the hot weather, they were willing to treck far and wide all day to get some of the best spots of Wolf Lakes!  From Lakeside, to the English Garden, from the silo's in the parking lot to the dock on the far side of the waterside...we went everywhere!!!  And had such a great time doing it too!

I have come to realize that I have a bit of a foot fettish......I really like taking pictures of feet....shoes.....cute little toes...and when the whole bridal party is wearing red hot heels....I was in heaven!

Jump girls, Jump!!

You could really tell that Coby and all of her ladies were more like sisters...not just friends

These are those great Silo's I mentioned earlier....I love doing shots of the guys over here...and it isn't a place that you would think would lend to great pics...but the large masculine structures..offset with the greenery really looks great..I think!

The ceremony was beautiful...I really loved the candles, ribbon..and especially the ornaments hanging from the chandelier.. You can't tell from the photos...but it was insanely hot the whole day and really humid....huge amount of cloud coverage....in the photos it looks it's fall time!

Erin (Coby's maide of honor) looks a little grosed out by the tongue action.

awwwwww.......

The sunset timing was perfect...with all of the haze and clouds it allowed for a super soft glow effect....such great warm lighting!!!

I still love those shoes!!

Coby and Scott, we had an amazing time at you wedding, what a beautiful day it was and what an amazing couple the two of you are.

Good luck and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your memeories!

Katie & Brad Showers ~ May 29, 2011

What an adorable wedding! Katie and her family thought of everything for this georgious wedding outside at the Fig garden Swim and Raquet Club.

The weather was fantastic and the garden setting was perfect for their "southern country" style wedding....lemonade bar and all!

I absolutely loved how Katie and Brad made a point with keeping their beautiful 4 year old daughter, Taryn, an integral part of the day...

from the very beginning through to the end.

It's not very offen that I get to photograph such red hair...and to have 2 girls....mommy and daughter with the same beautiful hair....I'm such a lucky photographer!

Awww...daddy's girl!

I love having fun with the grrom and groomsmen right before the ceremony....it's a great laugh for me...and it really helps the guys cut loose and relax for a few minutes before they get to business....as you can see, some like to have a little more fun than others!

Katie & Brad were such a beautiful couple together....and madly in love!  It was easy to get "real" moments captured throughout the night, just through their normal interactions with each other......awwwwww

Ok, so the "southern country" theme was just perfect...and the lemonade bar with fresh fruit & berries...YUM!!!

Brad is one lucky guy!

Congratulations you two!!!!  (and Taryn too!)

Cindy & Sammy Avalos ~ May 14, 2011

It isn't very often that I get to shoot at the same venue 2 nights in a row...and due to the changing weather, it actually caused for some pretty different pictures in comparison for each wedding...which was a breath of fresh air!

Cindy & Sammy were a super cute couple, and you could tell they were so excited to finally make their family complete with this union!

So much of Cindy's and Sammy's families were a part of their big day, and you could tell in every detail and in how excited everyone was to be there and help in any way they could.

The Ceremony, although an outdoor ceremony, still held many of the traditional aspects and was a joy to whitness and photograph.

Once they kissed....they couldn't stop!  What love birds!

I hope they had as much as I did!
